Don’t stress! :) When you complete the Emotions Module in The Fertile Womb, you’ll discover that so-called ‘negative emotions’ are just as important and valid as ‘positive emotions’. Being ‘high vibe’/‘fake positive’/‘thinking positive thoughts to avoid underlying stress’ doesn’t actually serve us. Plus, the uncomfortable emotions are showing up for a reason. Rather than avoiding the stressed feelings, the answer is actually to lean into them. So, take some time for yourself and sit down and really feel the feelings in your body. Breathe into them, acknowledge what is coming up (but don’t analyse or jump into your mind), stay in your body. Have gratitude for your body. Those stressed feelings are simply a message from your body and it’s just trying to keep you safe. Tell your body you are safe and staying open through this. Tell your body you are safe and you don’t need it to protect you any more. Everything is going to be okay and it can relax. It can help to journal while you’re doing this. Write down anything that comes up. You might find you cry or feel other physical sensations… keep leaning in….keep breathing through it... it’s releasing. We’re not trying to ‘fix’ the stress or anxiety because you’re not broken. We are simply witnessing it and welcoming the messages it is bringing.
What we resist persists. Avoiding stress/uncomfortable emotions actually keeps it stuck and locked in. It’s when you allow the uncomfortable emotions to be felt and heard that they actually dissipate. Ignoring them and trying to ‘be positive’ makes them dig in harder and shout louder. Listen to them, welcome them, learn from them. We’re not trying to ‘fix’ the skin reaction or the stress… it’s simply a message and we’re just witnessing, listening and softening into it. This practices honestly works like nothing else! It can be really uncomfortable and weird to start with but it gets easier and easier (promise!!).
